Mobile App Design Services.
The app has screens.
Can people finish the task?
C3i3 provides mobile app design services for businesses turning a customer or employee task into a usable product. We plan the flow, design the interface and build a reviewable prototype before the development team commits to the agreed experience.
The difficult parts often sit between the attractive screens: permissions, loading, failed submissions, empty lists and the route back after an interruption. We start with the task and the information required to complete it. Design explores those states alongside the main path, with platform expectations and accessibility considered throughout. Coding and release work belong to a connected development scope.
A clear task flow
Define what a user needs to accomplish, the decisions involved and the information each step requires.
Consistent interface states
Design controls, feedback and recovery paths so screens behave as a coherent experience.
A prototype to review
Walk through representative tasks before treating a design as ready for implementation.
Clear deliverables.
Useful decisions.
Your written scope confirms the depth and final format of the work. These are the components we can bring together for mobile app design services.
- 01Task and role map
Identify primary users, access boundaries and the first release’s essential tasks.
- 02Wireflows
Map screen sequence, branches and recovery routes before refining the visual layer.
- 03Responsive interface screens
Design the agreed device layouts with readable type, clear controls and suitable touch targets.
- 04State library
Specify loading, empty, success, permission and error states for the important interactions.
- 05Interactive prototype
Connect the agreed screens for task-based review, clearly distinguishing simulated behavior from working software.
- 06Developer handover
Document components, behavior, assets and unresolved technical questions for implementation.

A practical handover.
The approach follows the user needs, content, technical requirements, and agreed scope. Open each step to see what happens and what it produces.
01Define the first useful task
Review how the work happens today and identify the people, information and decisions involved.
A bounded first-release task map.
02Map alternatives and failures
Develop the main flow plus realistic interruptions, permission boundaries and missing-information cases.
Wireflows with state requirements.
03Design and prototype
Create the interface and connect representative screens. Review what people understand and where they hesitate.
A reviewable prototype and recorded findings.
04Prepare the build
Agree component behavior and check feasibility with developers before finalizing the handover.
Approved screens, assets and interaction notes.
A booking request
with more than one possible ending.
Illustrative example: an appointment app needs more than a calendar and a confirmation screen. Someone may choose a time that has just become unavailable, lose connectivity or need to change the request. The design should show those outcomes and give each a useful next action without pretending the prototype performs a live booking.
| The question or stage | What we examine | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Choose | Available options and selected state | Make the choice visible before submission. |
| Submit | Progress, success and failure behavior | Show what happened and what the user can do next. |
| Return | Saved context and request status | Help someone resume an interrupted task. |
To show how mobile app design services can support a decision. Your design depends on the users, content, requirements, and constraints in your own brief.
Agree the brief.
Then make the work.
We agree the audience, applications, review stages, final files and implementation responsibilities before design begins. Bring the existing material and explain what has become difficult to use. The scope identifies what we will design, what needs approval and who will maintain it after handover.
| Before we start | What we agree |
|---|---|
| The decision | The audience, offer, question, and boundaries the work needs to address. |
| The deliverables | Design and implementation scope, format, review rounds, responsibilities, and handover. |
| The handover | Approved source files, implementation notes, content ownership and the person responsible for the next step. |
We confirm the proposal before work begins. You can commission a focused engagement, connect it to a wider plan, or ask about a separately scoped delivery phase.
Discuss scope and timingUseful questions.
Straightforward answers.
Does a prototype function like a real app?
A design prototype simulates an agreed journey. It does not establish that payments, permissions, databases or other integrations work. Those require implementation and testing.
Do you design for iOS and Android?
We define the target platforms and devices in the brief. Shared patterns and platform-specific differences are considered before the screens are finalized.
Can you improve an existing app?
Yes. We can begin with a focused UX review and user tasks, then design the agreed changes while retaining useful existing patterns.
Will you build and launch the app?
C3i3 can connect design to the mobile app development service. Build, integration, testing and release responsibilities are stated separately.
What should we bring to the first conversation?
Bring the current material, the customer or staff problem you want to solve, representative content and any technical constraints. Explain who will approve the work and who will use the final files.
How do we review the design?
We agree review points and collect feedback against the brief. A useful review identifies the reader or user task, the issue observed and the decision needed, rather than a list of disconnected preferences.
Can this connect to other C3i3 services?
Yes. We identify where strategy, copy, development or ongoing management is needed and link the appropriate service. Each part has an explicit responsibility and a defined handover.
What happens after the design is approved?
The agreed source files, exports and behavior notes are handed over to the responsible team. Implementation, publishing and ongoing changes follow the scope rather than being assumed from a finished visual.
